Kites or Huilas

In prison we communicate with the outside by either phone or kites. The Aryan Brotherhood uses secret letters and invisible ink for this. This is a way to fool the correctional guards because they check the posts and tape the phonecalls. The most difficult way is with the use of secret writing. You need to have the code and a key. Without a key you can’t crack the code. You got easy and hard secret letters.
With this system we can portray a realistic way of communicating with the outside in a sneaky way.

Invisible ink
Invisible ink is an easy way to write a secret letter to fool the guards. First at all, you need a few requirements. You need to have a pencil with a Q-tip, urine or cirtrus juice. You dip the Q-tip in the urine and you write with it on paper. After you finished writing the text, it won't be visible anymore. You send the kite/paper to the person that needs to receive it . That's the first step to work with invisible ink. The next step is that the receiver needs to expose the paper to direct heat. When the paper is exposed to direct heat, the text will become visible. It’s an old way of the Aryan Brotherhood to fool guards.

Secret letters
This is the most difficult way to communicate, you need to have the CODE & THE KEY. There are multiple ways to do so. We can either use Bacon's method or my method. This is called steganography, the science of hiding information. There are two different alphabets for this method. Every word means a letter. An example is: A = aaaaa and H= aabbb. How you know it’s an B an A? However, writing like they do in real life isn't possible on the server. So I'd say we use capital letters instead.


The second method we can use is much easier. You have to move the letters three places in the alphabet. So if you want to say the letter A in a secret message you use the letter D for it. My vote goes to this method, most likely because we need to use capital and normal letters. It's a pain in the ass for us to code.

Read first word on left side of paper
A new communicate method of the Aryan Brotherhood is that they line up different words and all the words together is a code. One of the methods is that they read the all the first words on the left side of paper. They are writing a normal letter to their wife or family. He talks about how the prison is and how she is. But the guards don’t see the code because in that letter was the code: “Lopez is to bet hit at yard tonight. Don’t fuck it up”. That are all the first letters of the first page on the paper.

Read every six word
Another method is read every six word. This is a difficult method for the guards because if they want to get the code they need to check it on every method. Maybe they use every five word so guards are always too late. So the message arrives by the other members before they can translate the letter.
